When the new Revel Casino opens on April 2nd, it pledged to do so with 20 per cent of it’s workforce as Atlantic City residents. On Thursday, Revel executives met with City Council for a status report on their hiring practices. According to Revel CEO Kevin DeSanctis, 800 of 3,100 job offers have gone to residents of Atlantic City. So far 462 locals have accepted offers. The casino plans to make 900 more hires to fill all needed openings.
