RESIDENTS TO CAST VOTES ON BAIL REFORMS IN NOVEMBER

You will have the chance to put some additional teeth into New Jersey’s bail laws come November.  The New Jersey Assembly on Monday approved a measure that will put a question on the ballot that if approved, would eliminate the right to bail for all people accused of crimes. Supporters of the bill say it will keep suspects who are believed to be violent behind bars before their trials.  New Jersey Governor Chris Christie supports this constitutional amendment.
