One New Jersey coastal community is being sued over the taking of land from private property owners so sand dunes can be constructed. Some residents who live along the coast of Loveladies in Long Beach Township say the community took their land to build dunes illegally when no emergency exists. Long Beach Township has been trying to coerce property owners to provide easements to these properties so dunes can be built during an upcoming resiliency project.
