The CEO of the Trump Taj Mahal has asked that the casino be allowed to stay open into 2015. The union has challenged a court ordered plan to cut costs. CEO Bob Griffen told the AP that he has asked Carl Icahn, who would assume control of the casino, to allow the property to stay open while the challenge plays out. Icahn had given the union until Monday at 5 p.m. to drop its appeal or the casino would be shut down by the end of the week. The AP could get comment from Icahn.
