A vote to override the Sandy Bill of Rights veto failed when no Republicans lent it support. It previously passed the Senate 34-0 before Gov. Chris Christie conditionally vetoed it. Senate President Steve Sweeney took it to a vote to override the veto, but fell short in the end. Sweeney called out his Republican counterparts for being for a bill and then cowering for the governor. Sweeney said the legislation would help those still impacted by Hurricane Sandy move the process along.
