A Woodbine teenager attempted to run away from New Jersey State Police while he was inside their police building. The Cape May County Herald reports that Steven Jeffers was taken into police custody on January 19th after being arrested for a burglary. The Woodbine teen then thought it would be a good idea to escape by running through the police building and escaping through the back door. He didn’t make it. Jeffers was charged with multiple offenses, including escape by detention. He was taken to the county lockup on $100,000 cash bail.
