There’s a movement in Upper Township to consolidate all of the zip codes in the township into one. The Upper Township Gazette reports that township officials are appealing to Congressman Frank LoBiondo with help in convincing the United States Postal Service that the township doesn’t need five different zip codes for Upper Township alone. The postal service says the move to consolidate the zip codes would be costly, and would result in ten new mail routes. Committeeman Jay Newman says there are not ten mail routes in the township as it stands now.
