Trash collection is moving into the 21st century in Upper Township. The Upper Township Gazette reports that the township committee this week approved the purchase of two automated trash trucks that will cost just under a half million dollars. The new trucks will allow the driver to automatically lift the trash containers and dump them into the trucks. The new trucks will be on the road during the early part of 2014.
