REPORT: TOURISM FEES MAY GO UP IN WILDWOODS

It’s possible that tourism development fees may be going up in 2012 in the Wildwoods.  The Press of Atlantic City reports Friday that there is consideration in the communities to increase the fees to spur tourism this season.  The fees were set nearly eight years ago.  If the fees are to go up, all three Wildwoods municipalities would have to agree on the same rate.  The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority will meet today with island officials to discuss the rate adjustement.
