The Trump Taj Mahal won’t be having a liquidation hearing this week. The Press of Atlantic City reports the hearing scheduled for this week has been pushed back to Dec. 22. This would be after the proposed closing date for the Taj. Speculation is mounting that the necessary factors will take place to have Carl Icahn take over the casino. Icahn said if the state provided the necessary aid and if the unions dropped their appeal in court of a pension and health benefit ruling, than he would keep the casino open and invest $100 million into the property.
