The controversial super Walmart has been approved for Rio Grande. The Cape May County Herald reported over the weekend that the Middle Township Planning Board met last week and gave Walmart all variances and waivers that were sought to construct an addition onto the existing store. Some merchants complained about equal treatment for Walmart when it sought variances, while others discussed the increased competition it would bring to existing stores.
