REPORT: STRICT ATTENDANCE POLICY FOR UPPER TOWNSHIP SCHOOLS

The Upper Township School District has approved new attendance policies that will require documentation for students between the ages of six and 16 who miss class. The Upper Township Gazette reports that a child who misses school due to a cold that does not require a doctor’s visit must still call the doctor’s office and get a note. School officials say all student attendance figures must be very accurately reported to the State.
