REPORT: STRATHMERE RESIDENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT JITNEYS

Some residents of Strathmere have told the Upper Township Committee that they are sick of jitneys running on many streets in their community.  The Upper Township Gazette reports that residents told the Committee that restaurants started offering jitney service several years ago, and now jitneys are running on side streets as late as 4:00am.  Upper Township does not regulate jitney service in the community since it is considered a private service.
