REPORT: SOUTH JERSEY GAS ASKS FOR A RATE INCREASE

South Jersey Gas wants to increase your gas bill by an average of $18 per month.  The Press of Atlantic City reports today that the utility has requested a rate hike request that would generate $62 million for various infrastructure improvements.  The request must be approved by the Board of Public Utilities before it is enacted.  Approvals could take up to a year.
