REPORT: SIMONSEN FILES TO RUN FOR MAYOR IN LOWER TOWNSHIP

It appears the Republican ticket in Lower Township is set. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Erik Simonsen has submitted a letter of intent to run for mayor, while Kevin Lare has submitted to run again for deputy mayor. It is expected that Walt Craig will also remain on the ticket to run for the remainder of the unexpired term he is already filling. Democrats are not expected to pose any candidates, but a challenge could come from Mayor Mike Beck and a slate of candidates to run as independents.
