Senate President Steve Sweeney believes New Jersey is in a “fiscal death spiral” and a millionaires’ tax will not be supported by the legislature. Sweeney told NJ Advance Media that Governor Murphy’s plan to enact a tax on the wealthy is only going to complicate matters involving getting a budget adopted.
