REPORT: SEA ISLE POLICE TAKE OVER FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the Sea Isle City Police Department is now in charge of the city’s volunteer fire company.  An investigation is now underway into the Sea Isle City Volunteer Fire Company after rumors spread about threats to ignore fire calls over a personnel matter.  The Press reports that Mayor Len Desiderio signed an executive order earlier this week that appoints Police Chief Thomas D’Intino to oversee the fire department and kick off an investigation.  Two senior members of the volunteer fire department called it quits earlier this week.
