REPORT: RESORTS INTERNATIONAL SOLD TO GOMES

There will be a new owner of Resorts International in Atlantic City.  According to the Press of Atlantic City, Resorts has been sold to Dennis Gomes of Gomes Gaming, Inc.  Terms of the deal were announced Monday morning, but the price tag for Resorts was not disclosed.  Resorts was the very first casino to open in Atlantic City back in May, 1978 and has struggled financially in recent years.  Lenders took control of the casino back in December.  For more, visit the website for the Press of Atlantic City, www.pressofatlanticcity.com.
