The 2013 race for two seats on the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders could be interesting. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Lower Township Councilman Glenn Douglass may either run in a June republican primary for freeholder, or he will run for freeholder as an independent in November, with or without a running mate. Some republicans in the lower part of the county say they are not represented in county government. This week republicans selected Marie Hayes over Lower Township’s Stig Blomkvest to fill an unexpired seat on the freeholder board.
