The Press of Atlantic City reports this afternoon that a Lower Township man has rejected a plea bargain agreement in connection with the death of a three year old boy he was babysitting in North Wildwood. The Press reports that 35 year old Charles Kane Jr. of the Villas could have taken a deal that would have resulted in at least 18 years in prison. However, Kane decided not to take the plea bargain and the case may be a murder case. Kane was allegedly babysitting Elijah Joseph Ulbrich when the young boy died. Kane remains in the county jail on a half million dollars cash bail.
