A Lakewood man has started a petition to raise the legal speed limit on the Garden State Parkway to 75 mph. NJ.com reports that Mendel Rosenfeld has started the petition and has over 800 signatures on it already. Rosenfeld claims the Parkway can handle the higher speeds since many drivers travel at 75 mph illegally. New Jersey raised the speed limit on sections of the Parkway to 65 mph back in 1998.
