Drunk and buzzed driving has now moved past distracted driving as the leading cause of fatal traffic accidents in New Jersey. NJ.com reports that a new report showed there were 210 fatal accidents in New Jersey in 2021 that contained a leading caused of impaired driving. The state lost nearly 700 people in traffic accidents in 2021, the highest number since 2007.
