No investigation is needed. That’s the word from Cape May County Prosecutor Robert Taylor to Lower Township officials who called for an investigation relating to a spat on township council earlier this year. The Cape May County Herald reports that Taylor’s office has sent a letter to Lower Township officials saying his office will not investigate a dispute involving the selection of a new council member for Lower Township and a township council meeting that had to be cancelled as a result of the selection process. Back on January 18th, the local republican club picked Walt Craig to fill an unexpired seat on council; on the same evening, township council was scheduled to meet but did not have a quorum.
