It’s been just over one year since four Mainland High School football players lost their lives in a tragic car accident. The Press of Atlantic City reports that three of the four victims tested positive for chemicals found in marijuana, according to a New Jersey State Police report released Wednesday. The report says that the levels discovered in the driver of the vehicle and two of the other teens, could possibly have lead to impairment. State Police also said they found a substance believed to be marijuana at the crash site, and sent it to a lab for testing. On Wednesday authorities said those test results will not be released. The accident occurred on August 20th, 2011, as the football players were on their way to a team breakfast in Mays Landing following the last practice of the summer.
