The county’s new democratic party chairman wants to run freeholder candidates in the fall election. 51 year old Jeffrey Sutherland of Ocean City tells the Press of Atlantic City that he wants his party to challenge Gerry Thornton and Marie Hayes in the November elections. Many of the recent freeholder races in Cape May County have been uncontested for the republicans.
