REPORT: NEW WATER TOWER WON’T COME TO UPPER TOWNSHIP

It looks like a new water tower will not be coming to Stagecoach Road in Upper Township.  The Upper Township Gazette reports that the New Jersey American Water Company has withdrawn an application to build a new water tower in the community.  The application before the Zoning Board has been withdrawn, for now.  Mayor Richard Palombo told the Gazette that the controversial issue is off the table for now, and this allows him more time to talk with the water company about other sites for the water tower.
