REPORT: NEARLY 60 POLICE OFFICER JOBS COULD BE CUT IN ATLANTIC CITY

A large layoff could take place in the police department in Atlantic City. The Press of Atlantic city reports that 59 people could be involved in the layoff. The city is trying to manage its way out of a huge budget hole. It was recently reported that the resort would cut around $16 million from the budget to try to make everything work, with the majority of money cuts from fire and police. It appears this will be a first step towards moving in that direction.
