REPORT: MIDDLE COPS SEEK GRANT FUNDING

The Middle Township Police Department will seek some grant funding to hire additional police officers. According to a report in the Press of Atlantic City, Middle Township is seeking $800,000 in grant funding to hire four full time police officers for three years. Middle Township applied for the grant last year, but was denied. This year, police departments who were denied funding will be able to apply again this year. Middle Township would have 50 cops on duty if the funding request is granted.
