One of the most successful basketball coaches in our county’s history will take a leave of absence from his team this winter to battle prostate cancer. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Middle Township boys basketball coach Tom Feraco will take a leave of absence in January when he undergoes surgery at Temple University Hospital. Assistant Rewi Thompson will coach the team in January before Feraco returns for the last month of the season and a potential playoff run.
