A South Jersey family was shaken up when they were driving over the movable span on the Middle Thorofare Bridge while the span was actually opening. The Cape May County Herald reports that the family suffered minor injuries during the incident which occurred earlier this month; the span was four to six feet in the air when the car safely landed on the opposite side.
