Republicans are now going on the offensive, saying the Democrats have a created a conflict on interest in the Bridgegate controversy. The law firm representing the joint legislative committee that is looking into Bridgegate, also represented the redistricting efforts of the Democrats in 2001 and 2011. The law firm has taken in around $760,000, according to the records of the state. Co-chair of the committee John Wisniewski denies any wrongdoing saying the two issues are completely separate.
