The parents of a Pleasantville girl who fell to her death from a Ferris wheel in Wildwood last month have filed suit against the Morey organization in a Pennsylvania court. The Philadelphia Daily News reports today that Twanda and Byron Jones have filed a lawsuit in court suing Morey Piers over the death of their daughter, 11 year old Abiah Jones. The lawsuit does not specifiy a specific amount of monetary damages, but does ask for a jury trial. An attorney for the family told the Daily News that there were winds of 25mph which can cause the carriages on the ride to swing back and forth. The state issued a report saying that the Morey organization followed all rules regarding the safe operation of the ride and also suggested the girl was kneeling or standing on a seat when she fell from the ride back on June 3rd.
