Carl Ichan says he will not spend an additional $100 million on the Trump Taj Mahal if state lawmakers permit casinos to be elsewhere in New Jersey. The Associated Press reports today that Ichan will withdraw his offer to invest in the Taj Mahal, saying his deal is contingent on casinos from not being developed in northern New Jersey. It’s likely voters will be asked if casinos should be placed outside of Atlantic City, via referendum.
