A new report says residents in Atlantic City are facing a 13 percent tax increase from last year. The Press of Atlantic City says when taking into account county, school, and library taxes, the rate is going up close to 13 percent from 2015. In total, taxes in the city has risen 113 percent from 2010. As casinos have closed and ratables decreased, all property owners find themselves paying more to keep the city afloat. The city recently took over control of the finances of the city.
