The state has floated another plan past officials in Cape May that could allow for some development on a tract of land in East Cape May, near Pittsburgh Avenue. The Press of Atlantic City reports that another settlement offer is undergoing public review that would allow a developer to build 90 units on a marshy tract of land. The land was initially slated to receive up to 366 housing units. Mayor Ed Mahaney says he would like to see the land preserved as open space.
