REPORT: COUNTY TO DISCUSS FUTURE PLANS FOR FAILING BRIDGE

Two public forums will be held on May 3rd to discuss the failing Middle Thorofare Bridge which connects Diamond Beach to the greater Cape May area.  The bridge was opened several decades ago and needs a replacement, or an upgrade.  Part of the discussion in May will be to talk about raising the bridge so it does not have to open as often, according to a report in the Press of Atlantic City.
