REPORT: CHRISTIE TRYING TO MAKE DEAL TO ALLOW HIM TO CASH IN ON BOOK DEAL

A new report says Gov. Chris Christie could be trying to cash in on a book deal. The Berger Record is reporting that Christie is in talks with lawmakers to change the law that bars a sitting governor from receiving money for a book. The governor is trying to trade this in exchange for an increase to lawmakers’ staff salaries. A New Jersey legislator is allowed $110,000 for the entire staff. The proposal could increase that amount to $140,000.
