According to a new report from the Star Ledger, Christie will announce plans for an overhaul of the gaming industry in New Jersey, including a complete state takeover of the Atlantic City casino and entertainment district. The Ledger reports that the state will virtually take over all local control of the gaming district, including everything from police to garbage pickup. The state is also prepared to dump its interest in harness racing in the Garden State.
