The New York Times is reporting that Gov. Chris Christie is among a group of possible running mates for Donald Trump going through the vetting process. The report says Christie has been pleading with GOP donors to continue supporting Trump’s campaign, and privately urged the presumptive GOP nominee to fire his campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski. Christie’s name has also been mentioned as a possible U.S. attorney general or White House chief of staff.
