CAPE MAY MAYORAL RACE NOT YET OVER

The race for the mayor’s seat in the city of Cape May tightened up before the weekend.  Mayor Ed Mahaney enjoys only a scant 11 vote lead over challenger Rusty Chew.  Chew says the race is not over because more votes need to be counted via absentee balloting.  Chew has told the Press of Atlantic City he will not challenge the final result of the election, even if he loses by a single vote.
