Cape May City Councilman Chris Bezaire has taken a leave of absence from the governing body until at least the third week of August. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Bezaire will stay away from Council as his legal proceedings continue. Bezaire was indicted on June 16th on charges of stalking, invasion of privacy, and cyber harassment. He was released from jail 12 days after his arrest.
