REPORT: BAYSIDE PLANS TO EXTERMINATE CATS, BAYSIDE REFUTES THE CLAIM

The Press of Atlantic City reports today that an animal group alleges that Bayside State Prison plans to euthanize a large number of feral cats, but the Cumberland County prison refutes that claim.  Animal Alliance of Cape May County alleges taxpayer money and donations were used to fix about 300 cats in the region, and now Bayside Prison wants to euthanize a large number of cats.  A prison spokesperson says Bayside does not plan to euthanize the cats “en masse”.
