RED LIGHT CAMERAS WILL SHUTTER IN STATE BY DEC. 16

By the end of the year you won’t be able to be ticketed by a red light camera. The Department of Transportation has told all towns that the use of red light cameras is illegal after Dec. 16. A number of towns got the chance to try the cameras out as a trial period so the state could make a decision whether to keep them going on a bigger bases or end the practice. They have been very controversial and taken to court over the issue in some cases. It is unclear whether the program would be put back into place in the future.
