The National Weather Service has issued another Red Flag warning on Tuesday for elevated fire danger due to gusty winds, low humidity and dry conditions throughout the state. A 1,000 acre forest fire that began on Monday is still burning in Burlington County, displacing over 20 homeowners. Sunday in Hudson County, 52 residents were displaced in Jersey City and 10 homes were gutted. Weather forecasters say a soaking rain is needed to lower the fire danger but any significant rainfall is not in the forecast for at least one week.
