The 25th annual Mid-Atlantic Fishing Tournament ended on Friday, smashing the record of fish caught from 2014. The five-day, $3.16 million tournament saw 840 white and blue marlin caught, compared to 636 billfish in 2014. More than 93 percent of those fish caught were released and more than 157 boats participated. The Heaviest Blue Marlin category was won by Captain Dave Graham of Lighthouse Point, Florida, who weighed-in a 754-pound blue marlin on Friday. It was the second heaviest blue ever weighed in tournament history.
