There will be no recall of Cape May Mayor Ed Mahaney. A group of citizens that attempted to get enough signatures on a petition fell far short of its goal, and now the recall effort has ended. Mahaney was first elected to office in Cape May in 1995 and he says he will continue to make Cape May a better town for all of its residents. One council seat will be available in the Cape May elected in November, currently held by Jack Wichterman.
