The rate for a ride on the Wildwood Tram Car will be bumped up to $3 this summer. It’s estimated that over a half-million visitors use the tram car for the 2-mile ride along the boardwalks of Wildwood and North Wildwood. Officials of the Boardwalk Special Improvement District told The Press of Atlantic City that the fifty cent increase is the first since 2009. Riders will be able to purchase tickets on the tram cars with a credit card. Discount tickets will also be available at about 20 Boardwalk locations.
