New Jersey DEP Commissioner Bob Martin joined dozens of fishermen on Friday to support the easing of a proposed cut in the summer flounder catch this year. The feds have proposed a 40 percent cut or more in the number of summer flounder that could be caught. Martin and others said Friday the results of these limits would be devastating on the recreational fishing industry in the Garden State. Martin said he is prepared to take the fight “as far as we need to go”.
