RABIES VACCINE TO BE DISTRIBUTED IN CAPE MAY COUNTY

Beginning on Monday, rabies vaccine will be distributed in mainland areas throughout Cape May County. The county departments of Health and Mosquito Control will spread more than 34,400 baits laced with rabies vaccine from the air and by hand in raccoon habitats over the next two weeks. Signs will appear on utility poles throughout the area to alert local residents about the oral rabies vaccine distribution and what to do if they should come in contact with those baits.
