RABIES FOUND IN ATLANTIC COUNTY CAT

A pet cat was found to be infected with rabies in Atlantic County. The 10 year-old cat from Atlantic Avenue in Egg Harbor Township bit and scratched two residents of the home on July 6th. The pet owners said the cat had a wound on it’s face and later tested positive for rabies. The cat was euthanized and the two owners are undergoing post-rabies treatment.
